Island Autumn

The transition into fall is one of my favorites. Suddenly the air is crisp and cool, and the smell of leaves finding their way to the earth wafts gently through the curtains. I just love driving around and watching the slow shift of the colors from green to gold, orange to red, and finally when they carpet the ground.

I always remember the feel of cold, wet leaves against my face, and how pretty the sunlight looked as I opened my eyes to see the view from a fallen leaf's perspective.

It makes raking a lot more appealing, anyway.
